WHAT IS CORRECTIVE EXERCISE THERAPY?
We Attack The Root Cause Of Your Pain So We Can Eliminate It
We do not attempt to “treat” symptoms. We practice a technique called corrective exercise. Often described as falling somewhere in between personal training
and physical therapy, corrective exercise focuses on the underlying cause of
your pain, not just on ways to mask or reduce your pain.
Because eliminating the cause is the best way to eliminate the pain.
We use simple exercises that address any muscle imbalances and
misalignments and relieve the stress in your body.
Corrective exercise is based on the simple fact that each muscle is connected
to another. By reintroducing proper structure in the body, structure can
improve and you can move freely and with less pain as time goes by. The
process in not painful, and will not injure you further
IS CORRECTIVE THERAPY FOR ME?
It is important to remember that corrective exercise therapy is not Physical Therapy. Corrective Exercise should be used for any of the following:
1. Chronic aches and pains caused by weak or imbalanced muscles
2. To correct chronically weak muscles (such as a weak core that causes low back pain)
3. As a post-rehab technique once you have been cleared by your Physician or Physical Therapist

Corrective therapy is considered to be a conservative method of exercise based treatment relying on a complete understanding of human anatomy, physiology, medical conditions, surgeries and movement patterns during activities (including sports).
It focuses on relieving pain, restoring movement, strength and function, the prevention of injuries and disabilities. This is achieved through the use of therapeutic modalities, hands-on techniques, functional exercises and activities. Corrective therapy also educates people on ergonomic (body mechanics) fitness and wellness issues.

She received a degree in exercise physiology with a core focus in sports nutrition. In 2011, she was trained in both corrective exercise and performance enhancement from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Nick Outlaw is a Corrective Exercise Expert who is passionate about addressing clients’ imbalances and movement patterns, so they can truly enjoy life’s adventures at their best. He interned and learned from some of the best physical therapists in the field, and currently works with Justin Wilhelm from Trinity Wellness Center to prescribe the safest and most effective programs possible. A fan of college basketball, Nick has advised and trained the #1 NBA draft pick, John Wall. As a young boy, he grew up playing baseball with Josh Hamilton, MLB American League MVP. At an early age, Nick started strength training (in the 6th grade) with his older brother. Nick says he always felt that he needed to train smarter than other athletes because he wasn’t as naturally gifted athletically as others on his baseball team. It was, as he says, his only advantage to remain competitive. Today, Nick’s smarter approach to training and corrective and rehabilitative work spans a range of client diagnoses and conditions to maximize their fitness potential, including cancer patients, clients with ACL injuries, and those who have undergone hip replacements.
